The Disappearance of Aniruddha

One day, Sri Krishna’s grandson Aniruddha, the son of Pradyumna, was relaxing on a cot when he suddenly disappeared. No one knew what had happened to him, and the Yadavas became worried.

Sage Narada’s Revelation

Sage Narada appeared before Sri Krishna and informed him about Aniruddha’s whereabouts and his condition. Narada revealed that Aniruddha had been taken to Shonitapura, the capital of the demon king Banasura, through some witchcraft.

Aniruddha and Usha Devi

In Shonitapura, Aniruddha saw Banasura’s daughter, Usha Devi, and fell in love with her. However, Banasura was furious when he found out and tied Aniruddha up with nagapasha (serpent noose).

The Yadavas’ Plea and Krishna’s Response

The Yadavas requested Sri Krishna to go to Shonitapura and bring back Aniruddha. Sri Krishna assembled a huge army and marched towards Banasura’s capital. He laid siege to the city and, after a fierce battle, defeated Banasura.

The Battle with Parashiva

During the battle, Sri Krishna had to fight with Lord Shiva, who had come to the aid of Banasura. Despite the formidable opposition, Krishna’s divine prowess prevailed.

Aniruddha’s Return

Sri Krishna successfully rescued his grandson Aniruddha and brought him back along with his fiancée, Usha Devi. By revealing the whereabouts of Aniruddha, Sage Narada played a crucial role in helping Sri Krishna defeat Banasura.

The Defeat of Banasura

The arrogant demon king Banasura was subdued, and Sri Krishna’s great bravery and divine power were revealed to the world. The Yadavas were relieved and celebrated the safe return of Aniruddha and the union with Usha Devi.

The story highlights the importance of divine intervention and the power of love and devotion. It shows how even the most challenging situations can be resolved with the help of divine guidance and courage. Sage Narada’s role as a mediator and revealer of truth is also emphasized, showcasing the significance of wisdom and knowledge in overcoming difficulties.
