When Ravana abducted Mother Sita, she threw her jewelry on the ground so that Lord Ram could find it. When Lord Ram found the scattered ornaments, he showed them to Lakshmana. He showed the ring, the bracelet, and the necklace, but Lakshmana did not recognize any of them. However, when Lord Ram showed him the Nupur (anklet) of the feet, Lakshmana immediately recognized it.
