The Witness in Court

Story: An old lady in Vrindavan often cried and sang songs of Krishna while offering cold water to devotees. She told her story of how Shri Banke Bihari Ji helped her father reclaim their mortgaged house. The cruel money lender denied receiving the repaid loan, and the case went to court. Her father prayed to Shri Banke Bihari Ji, who appeared in his dream and assured him that He would be the witness in court. The next day, when the judge called for the witness, a voice from outside announced, “I am here.” A man wrapped in a blanket revealed the hidden file proving the money lender’s guilt. The judge, astonished, resigned and became a devoted Krishna follower known as “Judge Baba.” The old lady moved to Vrindavan, hoping to see Shri Banke Bihari Ji again.

Story: A sweet shop owner near Shri Banke Bihari temple was making 40 kg of laddus. While working, a young boy asked for something to eat. The owner, mesmerized, gave him a laddu, and in return, the boy gave him a gold bangle. The next day, the temple officials were searching for Shri Banke Bihari Ji’s missing gold bangle. The owner realized it was the same bangle given by the boy and returned it to the temple.

Story: A ticket collector on the Mathura to Vrindavan train was a regular visitor to Shri Banke Bihari temple. One day, as he waited for the altar to open, his train left without him. He went to resign, thinking he neglected his duty, but the station master informed him he had submitted all documents before leaving for Mathura. Realizing Shri Banke Bihari Ji performed his duty, the ticket collector resigned and spent the rest of his life serving the deity.
